Come out and continue to develop your lacrosse game and have fun playing! We will use 2 sites this year: (1) Orono High School for high school girls lacrosse players in grades 8-12 & (2) McMurray for girls in grades 3-12. Both sites are open to players from all communities.
Each session is led by experienced high school coaches, and will focus on development core lacrosse skills and game fundamentals at each age level. Small side games will be played each week, and players can register individually or can bring a group of friends or teammates. Players from all teams and communities will be combined together and split into small groups based on experience level for drills, and for games we’ll combine and mix teams to ensure even sides and that everyone plays – and everyone has fun!
Overview – Orono HS site will be a 9-week program with weekly sessions on Sunday afternoons from Sept 8 through Nov 3 from 3pm-5pm. The focus will be on developing lacrosse fundamentals and skills for high school level play, and each week will consist of one hour of small group skills and drill stations each led by experienced coaches, and one hour of games where we’ll mix players together to ensure even teams and games will be officiated by certified MSHSL officials. This is a great opportunity for returning high school players to take their game to the next level, and for aspiring high school players to develop fundamentals that will help you be ready for the next level of play and high school season (and tryouts).
The McMurray site will be an 8-week program with weekly sessions on Sunday afternoons from Sept 8 through Oct 27 from 3pm-5pm. The focus & format will be the same as above on developing lacrosse fundamentals and skills, and each week will consist of small group skills and drill stations each led by experienced coaches and an hour of games with players from diverse communities.
