Needed to Play Lacrosse:

GIRLS: Goggles or Headgear, and Crosse (stick). 

BOYS: Helmet, Shoulder Pads, Arm Pads, Gloves, Protective Cup, and Crosse (stick)

Each player will also need athletic shoes or Cleats and a Mouth Guard. 

For players interested in the Goalie position - There are additional equipment requirements, but each team is provided with goalie equipment. Players will be able to utilize the BYLC equipment.
 

Purchasing Options -

Many online and sporting good retailers have youth Starter Kits available.  Boys starter kits are priced at approximately $250 (often the stick is separate but varies by the kit).   Girls kits are often priced at less than $100. Another good option is a store like “Play it Again” in Buffalo, who may have some used equipment.
 

Rental Options -

BYLC does have rental gear available for both Boys and Girls.  For Boys the equipment is sized for our younger 8/10/12U players,  14U players would be encouraged to purchase gear.
 

Equipment Pickup and Return Process: Equipment will be available for pickup at the first practice.  Please plan on arriving ½-1 hour early for pickup.  Equipment will need to be returned after the last game.  Players that continue to play Summer and Fall seasons will keep the equipment until the final 2024 season they are playing.

Refundable Deposit-Must be a check, which will be destroyed upon return of equipment.
